Records shipments of cattle from Ballast Point (Tampa). Each entry includes the earmarks and brands of the cattle, the number of animals bearing the earmarks and brands, the shipper, the vessel, and the ship's master. A stamp was used to create a symbol representing a cow's ears and the slits, notches, etc. were drawn over the stamp in ink. Each entry is signed by James A. Murphy, Inspector of Marks and Brands for Hillsborough County.
